All about the Weave
The Weave represent the finest of Liverpool's established jazz scene. After a hiatus of some 7 years their newest project, SNISHOO, sees these talented musicians return to create an exciting collaborative journey. At the heart of this musical endeavor is band leader Martin Smith. He has assembled a network of Liverpool's top players: Anthony Peers (trumpet), Anthony Ormesher (guitar), Tilo Pirnbaum (drums), Rob Stringer (piano), Hugo "Harry" Harrison (double bass), and newcomer Ismael Aasgaard (trombone). Together they blend a diverse array of influences, from jazz icons like Kenny Wheeler and Clark Terry to folk & rock legends like John Martyn and Arthur Brown.

The result is a kaleidoscopic fusion of ideas, energetic and soulful. Formed officially in 2012, these musicians have played together for up to 20 years, yielding a cohesive and refreshing band sound. Since being selected as Northernline Ambassadors in 2013, The Weave have built a strong national reputation through over 50 live shows, including a sell-out performance at the 2014 London Jazz Festival. Their self-titled debut album earned acclaim in the UK and US, with Downbeat magazine listing it as a top release of 2014.
